Write your story or poem

Choose the theme: Climate Change. Write an original story (100–500 words) or poem (up to 24 lines). Must be your child’s own original work. Typed is preferred, but clear handwriting is accepted.

Step 2

Check the rules

Read the full guidelines. Key points: ages 0–11, UK residents only, one entry per child, no AI-generated content.

Step 3

Get parental consent

A parent or guardian must confirm they are submitting on behalf of the child. Download the consent form from the school pack, or include a simple statement in your email.

Step 4

Submit by email

Email your entry to: info@jaycesworldoflearning.co.uk
Subject line: BFCTC 2026 — [Child’s Name] — [Story Title]
Include: child’s name, age, school (if applicable), city/town, story or poem, parental name and contact.

Step 5

Wait for confirmation

We acknowledge every entry within 7 days. Shortlist announced October 2026. Winners invited to the anthology launch event.

Deadline: 11 September 2026 at midnight

Winners announced October 2026. Submit early to avoid the last-day rush.
